GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Maintain the production rooms, equipment, warehouse and building grounds in a clean organized mannerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with FDA, GMP, OSHA and HACCP guidelines.
Ability to recognize and correct quality issues
Ensure all safety precautions are taken prior to operating machines
Mix cleaning chemicals to predetermined ratios
Use test kits to check effectiveness of cleaning
Sanitize production equipment per cleaning instructions
Operate/drive a floor scrubber
Perform inspections on scrubber, scissor-lift and forklift; report problems to Supervisor
Operate floor buffer/stripper to maintain floor finish
Stock and maintain disposable inventories and report needs to Supervisor
Perform routine, preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
Weigh, document and dispose of dust collection waste
Assist in changeovers as directed
Assist in unloading inbound stock, complete corresponding documentation
Assist in setup/cleanup of company events
Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift certification for warehouse position
Self motivator and ability to work with little supervision
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Lift raw product and dump in hoppers
Pull skids out of rooms
Must obtain forklift certification
Must pass background check
Must pass drug screening test
