Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Production Support Engineer with electrical engineering experience to join the Hardware Engineering Team in Andover, MA. This team designs, develops, integrates, and tests the most technologically advanced radars in the world.

The Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology in the Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) division at Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds, and lifecycle support of IDS products.

As a Production Support Engineer, you will provide design engineering support to the procurement, build, test, integration, and sustainment of IDS products. The technical tasks associated with this position will expose candidates to numerous design disciplines, making this position a growth opportunity for engineers who want to broaden their skill set. You will support the resolution of supplier build and test issues, resolve production build, test, and integration problems related to the design of the hardware, and support legacy systems with upgrades and obsolescence redesigns.

This position requires travel for training and extensive collaboration with design teams in McKinney, TX. Effective communication in writing and over the phone, working across business divisions, and working across functions are all essential skills in this role.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on how the candidate's qualifications relate to the skills, experience, and responsibilities required by this position.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of related experience in the field of engineering or related technical disciplines

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance

  • Self-starter and able to manage workload to meet assigned deadlines

  • Experience in the test and troubleshoot of RF, analog, or mixed signal circuits and systems in both a factory and lab setting

  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes and signal generators

  • Must be comfortable resolving complex issues that span multiple domains of electrical, RF, digital, and software

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills

Required Education:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in cross functional teams that include Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality team members

  • Experience conducting system level integration, data reduction, and analysis

  • Experience in both development and engineering production support environment

  • Experience with phase noise analyzers

  • Ability to lead small teams
