Production Support Specialist

Job Description:

U-Haul is seeking a Production Support Specialist to focus on maintaining batch application processes, troubleshooting and taking corrective action system maintenance tasks and improvement tasks.

Schedule: 3pm-1am Sunday-Wednesday or 11pm-9am Wednesday-Saturday

Essential Duties:

• Provide first level recovery

• Scheduling job processes

• Handle Job Control Language (JCL) errors, restarts, etc.

• Responsible for the Multi-platform scheduling, Job Control Language (JCL), PROC's and other batch resources

• Be able to escalate issues that need more hands-on resolution, i.e. bad data, missing files, program abends, etc.

• Perform dataset maintenance.

• Multi-platform monitoring, Z/OS, Oracle and SAP

• Tier 1 & Tier 2 user and job support

• Respond to all requests within an hour

• Be able to work nights and weekends

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

• Expert knowledge of MS Outlook

• Expert knowledge of MS Teams

• Excellent Troubleshooting Skills

• Excellent Critical Thinking Skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• Knowledge of BMC Control products

• Knowledge of Mainframe

• Knowledge of of JCL

• Knowledge of TSO

• Knowledge of SQL

• Knowledge of Java

• Knowledge of SAP

• Knowledge of Agile Project Management

• Knowledge of DevOps
