Production & Supply Planner

Responsibilities

• Through detailed data analysis and collaboration with customer care, logistics, the plants and commercial team create and manage a supply plan by setting and executing inventory plan, including optimizing inventory levels and safety stock parameters

• Own end-to-end planning and execution of inventory replenishment in assigned warehouses and distribution centers.

• Create and manage orders between plants and warehouses

• Collaborate and initiate communications globally with customer care, production and logistics to align on forecast and order quantities to ensure a seamless flow of product to support the customer

• Analyze key metrics, including fill rate, lead time variability, transportation/logistics reliability and forecast accuracy to assure supply.

• Quickly identify and communicate current inventory issues, as well as, anticipate potential issues, develop sound recovery plans, ensure execution of plans & communication of status to all relevant parties

• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory. Coordinate and participate in inventory cycle counting according to objectives and communicate results

• Review slow moving and/or off spec inventory and facilitate disposition

• Participate in cross-functional reviews, driving operational improvement in the supply chain.

• Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional partners; drive ongoing collaboration with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge; communicate across multiple levels of the organization

• Maintain MRP integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, Economics or related field

• 3-4 years of supply chain experience, significant experience in supply planning or inventory management

• Intermediate to experienced skill level and understanding of logistics/transportation.

• Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.

• Detail oriented with strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Intermediate skill level in SAP ERP / SAP 4 HANA

• Experience communicating with business partners and cross functional teams at various levels.

• Demonstrated skills in analyzing data, drawing conclusions, determining responses necessary, and prioritizing actions

• Takes initiative to solve problems / compile possible solutions for consideration without prompting

• APICS certification preferred.

• Purchasing experience a plus

• Experience in chemical manufacturing a plus.
