The Production Supervisor will be responsible to lead and support a team of production personnel in the efficient and effective delivery of the relevant Factory Focus objectives.
The focus of attention for this role centers to promote commitment and engagement to effective Health & Safety, Quality and Production systems. Effective delivery, as measured by KPIs on aspects such as safety levels, quality metrics, labor efficiencies and employee engagement, requires excellent leadership qualities and the ability to balance conflicting priorities within a globally competitive manufacturing area.
Let's talk about Responsibilities:
Safety
Leadership & Team Development
Lead a Production Team through providing effective support and talent development.
Provide people management guidance to personnel reporting to you and be the point of escalation for any performance management issues within the team
Ensure proper training of staff in order to effectively and efficiently meet customer demand.
Guide and oversee the management of personnel issues for all shifts including:
Administration of the appropriate time and attendance system
Induction and assessment of new applicants
Staff training, mentoring, maintenance of the workplace training systems
Staff assessment and performance management
Leave scheduling
Partner with appropriate departments (e.g. Planning, Warehouse, QC, Engineering, etc.) to ensure production team has the available resources to achieve required production targets in line with demand, quality and specification parameters.
Delivery
Day to day tasks involved in delivering the following:
Scheduling of work
Stock control and move transactions within Oracle
Completion of Non-Conformances
Compliance to ResMed's Quality, Health & Safety and GMP policies, DHR requirements, procedures and work instructions.
Promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the team by partnering with relevant PFT support teams (e.g. LEAN, CI, etc.) to achieve globally competitive manufacturing principles and practices.
Maintenance and monitoring of KPIs, and prepare reports that reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.
Perform other duties assigned as required.
Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:
Significant experience of quality, Health & Safety and GMP processes.
Proven Leadership experience within an innovative, fast-paced and high volume manufacturing team (3+ years)
Strong familiarity with MS Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills eg. Shares relevant information about their own or others' actions or work in progress that may impact on team effectiveness to Focus Factory Manager or delegate through appropriate communication channels.
Must possess a customer-centric commitment to build and maintain customer relationships
Energetic, self-motivated and quick thinking with a positive attitude.
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Business Management.
Experience with Oracle or comparable Supply Chain/Logistics systems
Completion of a Supervisor/Leadership program (either via an internal or external approved program) or an equivalent program.
Job Environment:
Warehouse & production environment. Incumbent will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 40lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:
80,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD Annual
