Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Production Supervisor is responsible for several aspects of paint line production that promote timeliness & efficiency. The primary responsibilities for this role is to maintain an adequate workforce by providing disciplinary action, performance reviews and safety awareness; maintain Akro customers; work with fabrication departments and shipping customer service to manage department production schedule and ship dates; communication to Production Manager stock levels and production needs as well as production completion dates.
Additionally, this role will assist with training leadership roles, work independently as well as with team leaders to meet production deadlines, while using Production Manager as a resource. Essential Job Functions:1. Learn & maintain a breadth of knowledge across each work center area at Dane Manufacturing.
Must be familiar with & able to cross-train employees for each of general labor, painting, and assembly departments. 2. Learn & maintain a skill set and cultural awareness of Dane Manufacturing's procedures & norms that will enable filling in for team leads in general labor/assembly on all shifts. 3. Develop & cross train employees on how to most effectively performance job duties associated with general labor, painting, and assembly departments. 4.
Support the creation & modification of both new traveler as well as traveler methods. 5. Support Akro-Mils finished good inventory as well as communication mid-level inventories by performing weekly counts & feeding information back to production planning analyst. 6. Communication purchasing needs with Production Manager and future Dane Manufacturing purchasing agent.7.
Take a lead in delivery and content development of safety training. 8. Follow all safety rules and quality standards.RequirementsQualifications:1. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.2.
Experience: 1-3 year experience preferred 3. Computer/Software and Office Equipment Skills: Use computer to log hours worked, able to program machines based on work orders.4.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements: a. Must place a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail. b. Able to read and understand work orders. c.
Able to identify problems during the manufacturing process and make necessary adjustment to correct. d. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision following detailed manufacturing instructions. e. Able to work in a team environment. f.
Ability to read blueprints, and use a variety of hand tools including calipers, protractors, gauges and tape measures. g. Able to effectively provide and accept feedback from colleagues based on work reviews. h. Flexibility to work overtime to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing process.Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements:1.
Work requires occasional bending, lifting, and reaching. 2. Work is performed in an environment with noise. 3. Need to occasionally move and carry loads of up to 50 lbs. 4.
Must have good time management skills. 5. Mechanically inclined with good math skills6. Must have the ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy while working in an environment with interruptions and occasional noise.
