We are currently seeking an experienced 1st Shift Production Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading 20-40 production employees to accomplish safety, quality, delivery and efficiency goals.
Responsible for monitoring workflow and analyzing production problems to identify root cause and develop solutions.
Responsible for maintaining a high level of employee efficiency, effectiveness, team work, morale, quality and safety.
Establish a positive employee environment through communications, feedback and overall guidance.
Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instructions and tools to successfully do their job.
Lead continuous improvement plans and activities
Communicate, administer and enforce company rules, policies and procedures consistently and equitably.
Develop and execute plans to ensure all established safety, quality, delivery and financial commitments are met.
Participate in the hiring of new employees and in the annual review process
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills
Experience communicating across functions (such as: supply management, engineering, operations and human resources).
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
A top candidate will also have
ERP System Experience
Forecasting and Budgeting Experience
Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma
Previous machining experience
Associates Degree in Business or Technical Field
