This position is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and leading the activities of a production team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for leading, managing and supporting employees to meet or exceed the company standards established for their roles and responsibilities respective of their position
Interpret company policies for employees
Adhere to safety regulations
Effectively lead and manage the processes of employee selection, hiring and retention
Manage employee resources and plant production to achieve and meet production standards by:
communicating with production planning
auditing production processes to verify conformance to specifications
analyzing production schedules and estimate labor hour requirements for job completion
interpret job orders for employees
assigns duties to employees
Maintain time and production records
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
Establish and cultivate a network of support (quality, engineering, planning and purchasing, sales and marketing)
Coordinate activities and communications with supporting departments
Coach, empower, support, and communicate announcements and employee successes
Manage and support effective employee training and orientation programs to support employee growth, knowledge and development through monthly one-on-one meetings
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, and take an active lead in continuous improvement events
Support AS9100/ISO9001 Quality initiatives
Suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of employees
Leading accountability, values, and key results initiatives
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, administer and coordinate employee records management, tracking reports, data collection and transposing information for management reports
Maintain attendance records for all employees
Handle routine vacation requests from employees
Coordinate leaves of absence with Human Resources Department
Review exception reports for payroll accuracy
Audit housekeeping/5S on a regular basis
Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures, providing required training to employees on new policies and procedures
Define, communicate and implement projects for improved production
Make suggestions to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of
department or team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a thorough understanding of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
Must have knowledge in materials, components and processes applicable to electronics and electronics manufacturing
Must be detail oriented and value ownership and accuracy
Must be an effective listener
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of disciplines in a dynamic environment and motivate them to work together as a team
Experienced user of ERP systems (Ex. IFS, Peoplesoft, Macola, SAP, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate vision into action
Computer and Microsoft Office literate with high proficiency in Excel

Education and/or Experience:
Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
High school diploma or (GED) required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in technical field preferred
Two to four years of front line manufacturing supervision experience is required
Three to five years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
Experience in lean/process improvement initiatives is required
Experienced user of an integrated ERP system (IFS is preferred)

Exposed to moving mechanical parts, and low voltage electrical circuits while on the manufacturing floor
Moderate noise level in the office area
ESD jacket will be issued for wear while in production cell. May be required to wear other appropriate personal protective equipment when in restricted manufacturing areas.
Normal work hours are 1st shift 5:30 AM to 4:10 PM
Normal workdays are Monday through Thursday and Fridays as needed
Lunch period is 40 minutes per day, unpaid
