Production Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position will closely monitor employee workflows, as well as, help maintain a fast-paced production environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the activities of the press floor, under the direction of the Operations Manager, and follow established procedures and approved processes.

• Supervise all production operations.

• Coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.

• Supervise all employees on the shift.

• Responsible for Safety

• Develop a safety mindset by example, instill that in all employees, and ensure all safety guidelines are followed consistently.

• Develop and support a 5S mindset in all plant areas.

• Do constructive employee counseling when necessary.

• Schedule rotation and relief to ensure that all positions are covered.

• Ensure that operators have accurately completed the production paperwork.

• Monitor production throughout the shift for problems and production levels.

• Ensure that employee reviews are completed on time.

• Ability to work effectively with other departments within the plant.

Education and Experience:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.

• 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.

• Requires technical and mechanical ability.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP required.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment

• Must have knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.

• This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.

• Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

• Must have computer-based know, including Microsoft Word and excel.

• SAP experience preferred.

• Must have the ability to motivate and get along with others in a team environment.
