Production Supervisor Description Our organization are cultivators of fresh, wholesome and nourishing dairy goodness. THE OPPORTUNITY We have a very exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join this legacy company and the primary purpose of this position is to relieve production and shipping supervisors, lab analysts. Supervise plant processing, receiving, packaging, and shipping staff in order to maintain plant inventory levels. Verify and validate activities are completed per SOP. REPORTING STRUCTURE This position reports to the Production Manager and will have 30-40 production employees (entire production operation). RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct staff on shift to efficiently perform tasks in a safe manner.
Assists Department Managers with execution and evaluation of practices in order to drive continuous Improvement.
Analyze equipment related issues and other problems, effectively communicate issues between maintenance and other staff.
Inspect incoming and outgoing goods to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met.
Monitor packaging, ingredient, and finished product inventories to ensure needs are met.
Monitor and enforce sanitation instructions, activities, and verification.
Monitor and enforce Plant GMP SOPs
Ability to become certified by the State of Maryland in the operation of CHARM antibiotic testing equipment. This activity requires annual recertification.
Ability to perform sensory testing on finished products.
Document activities in accordance with SOP, State, and Federal guidelines.
Oversee and evaluate training of new staff members.
Schedule and/or cover staff vacancies as needed per SOP.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management and other departments.
Must be available to work any shift, day and/or night.

REQUIREMENTS
College education: Bachelor’s degree in a business, science, or engineering field preferred
1-2 years or more of food manufacturing operational leadership experience.
Dairy experience desired but not mandatory.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision independently or with a group.
