We have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join Clinton Folding and take responsibility for safety, personnel, quality, production, equipment (including basic maintenance troubleshooting), and all other activities occurring in or related to their assigned department. We are a high-volume folding carton environment with many moving parts and people. The basic job duties for a Production Supervisor are as follows:
Foster and maintain a no incident safety culture. The well-being of our employees takes priority over all other activity at the plant. Report all near misses, incidents, first aid rendered, or unsafe working conditions to the Finishing Manager, Plant Manager, and Safety Manager immediately without exception.
Engage and empower employees to reduce hazards, improve quality, and increase efficiency through team building and inclusion. Coach, develop, and guide shift employees. Resolve conflict between employees and maintain positive goal oriented working relationships inside the department.
Organize job assignments of employees on the shift, supporting daily production efforts as needed. Understand and follow all applicable rules, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws related to human resource activities. Ensure all DMS boards, checklists, and production reports are being filled out completely and correctly.
Follow all steps of the PE processes (DEC,5S, ER) including training of employees on check sheets/ sweep sheets and all applicable duties to adhere to the PE process. Ensure production goals, standards, and metrics for the Finishing Department are being met every shift, implementing an action plan to bring machines, crews, or processes up to standards in the event of lagging production goals, standards, or metrics. Drive continuous improvement efforts.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment, including part orders, preventive/ predictive maintenance, emergency maintenance, and outside contractor efforts to ensure all equipment is kept in optimal condition as consistent with food contact packaging. Maintain cleanliness and organization of your assigned area, overseeing and delegating housekeeping duties.What You Need to Succeed: Bachelors degree, preferably in engineering, though we are open for the right person who can demonstrate that they are prepared to function successfully in this role Manufacturing background or training/experience that would indicate your potential for success in a manufacturing environment Strong collaborative relational leadership skills including the ability to guide people to be more successful than they currently believe possible The ability to identify and solve problems/issues 2+ years of supervisory experience.What we offer:

We are a high-volume folding carton environment with many moving parts and people. The Process Engineer will interface with all plant operations and managers to achieve the desired objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with quality requirements. Utilizing cross-functional leadership he or she will determine goals, design, and the motivation necessary to accomplish measurable business process improvements. The process engineer also insures the integrity of the process, tools, data and individual are never compromised. Our plant level leaders collaborate with Master Black Belt and Project Sponsors to drive and sustain results focused on Voice of Customer and improving the bottom line. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
