Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising Team Members performing Manufacturing and Logistics duties in our Reno,NV production facility. The Production Supervisor upholds plant policies and procedures and is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives as described by the Plant Manager.Applicants must be available to work day shift or night shift (5:00 am-5:30 pm or 5:00 pm -5:30 am on a weekly alternating 36/48 hour schedule.


Responsible for shift and area duties which include: scheduling, assigning team members

work, team member training, vacation planning, breaks, overtime assignment, planning replacement for

absent Team Members

Coordinate production startups, shutdowns and changeovers

Responsible for ensuring shift production goals are met

Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

Schedule and conduct shift meetings

Responsible for quality control, adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specification

Ensure a clean and safe work area

Complete all shift reports

Provide leadership, direction and seek to empower Team Members

Coach and counsel Team Members, including providing corrective action

Make decisions regarding hiring and terminating Team Members.

Ensuring all Team Members follow Company Health & Safety standards as well as requirements of


Interpret and ensure self and Team Members are in compliance with the company's departmental

policies and procedures

Respond and attempt to resolve Health & Safety issues as they arise on the shop floor and provide

direction to Team Members

Observe and report any unsafe conditions whether machinery or other shop conditions by conducting

daily inspections

Ability to stand for long periods of time.


Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role preferably as a Supervisor and or Team Leader in a large

manufacturing environment

Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and high volume production machinery and


Proven experience related to lean principles and practices

Inventory, forklift driving, OSHA courses or training

Driven and energetic with a strong technical background and understanding of lean manufacturing

and continuous improvement principles

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadlines

Superior organizational and problem-solving skills

The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. They will be responsible for performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on time delivery, cost for his/her respective area. They will be the first-line contact between production employees and the management staff and will be expected to represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor. It's where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours * You will conduct Daily Visual Management stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost/productivity, and inventory. * You will utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies. * You will develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet customer deadlines. * You will enforce and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance issues and initiate disciplinary actions if required. * You will monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements. * You will create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary. * You will ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. * Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience * Minimum 1 year of experience in supervision. * No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Reno, NV will be considered for this position * Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field of study. * Minimum 3 years of related experience including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity in a manufacturing environment * SAP business system experience. * Foundational knowledge of lean principles and manufacturing processes.
