CHS/TEMCO has an exciting opportunity in our Grain Marketing Division. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to manage and provide direct supervision of export terminal activities, at our facility in Kalama, WA. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; and the ability to effectively manage change and make independent decisions.

You will:

  • Assist the Assistant Terminal Manager and Terminal Manager with daily operations of facility to ensure housekeeping, safety and compliance are adhered to and take corrective action as needed.

  • Manage loading/unloading operations of grain, bin the products properly, communicate with rail/barge dispatching representatives, load out products meeting contract requirements and understand FGIS standards and methods.

  • Employee Supervision: Provide work direction, training, and cross-training for all production and laborer positions and assist with evaluating employee performance.

  • Participate and conduct employee and contractor orientation: review facility rules, safety policies and programs, regulations and operational processes.

  • Adhere to all hiring and termination practices outlined in labor contract and legal standards. Maintain all required documentation.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety programs to meet all corporate and governmental regulations. Maintain all required documentation.

  • Assist the Assistant Terminal Manager and Terminal Manager in incident and near miss investigations.

  • Provide a safe and environmentally sound working environment for employees.

  • Maintain working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulation pertaining to the operation of the grain elevator industry.

  • Work with FGIS on daily and quarterly basis, regarding safety and housekeeping inspections and compliance.

  • Collaborate with supervisors to eliminate reoccurring housekeeping and operational problems or inefficiencies.

  • Troubleshoot causes of operational problems and oversee coordination of proactive and reactive activities on a day to day basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Terminal Manager and Terminal Manager.

  • Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of Terminal Operations experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of Terminal Operations experience

  • Terminal Operations experience to include:

  • Maintenance and/or Production operations and management

  • Employee supervision

  • Environmental Health & Safety experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work flexible hours (including nights, weekends and holidays)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Grain Terminal Operations experience

  • Knowledge of grain grading and warehousing regulations

About Bridger Steel Bridger Steel, a long term, manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to work at our Kalama, WA facility! We have showrooms and manufacturing facilities across the Northwest. Inventory & Production Coordinator: The Inventory & Production Coordinator will be purchasing raw materials through vendor purchase order, processing item receipts from inbound purchase orders, tracking purchases, planning and scheduling of daily production within the manufacturing plant depending on inventory availability and priority of customer orders. Schedule and manage all raw material out bound shipments and local customer order delivery. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Prioritize projects and keep track of multiple tasks while completing them in a fast-paced demanding manufacturing environment * Perform as part of a team while maintaining a positive work environment * Schedule daily manufacturing priority by department * Schedule standing seam off site runs * Schedule daily local deliveries and outbound raw materials shipments * Enter data for intercompany work orders in ERP * Verify work orders sent to other store locations were received * Schedule and track shipments * Ensure outbound work orders for the shuttle trucks are completed, staged, and ready for shipment * Finalize Shuttle Run list with load weights for inbound and outbound items * Create trucking Bill of Lading * Inspect and inventory receipts at check-in * Document and receive items from both internal and external shipping methods * Create coil sheets for new coils in the Inventory system * Input invoices and inventory into accounting system * Resolve any PO shipping deviations * Update shipment trackers with date received and panel location * Monitor current and upcoming inventory levels to efficiently schedule customer orders for production * Verify all materials for production jobs are in stock prior to scheduling * Monitor customer balances on incoming orders ensuring they are within credit terms * Mark or stamp orders with special instructions * Expedite orders to the shop, if the order does not require special or non-inventoried coils, flats or accessories * Coordinate order to be produced by other stores * Receive confirmation dates for special order materials for "on hold" orders from the ICS and then schedule orders for production * Collect completed orders, match trim, panels, and accessory work orders and update order before giving to admin for invoicing * Other duties as needed Skills and Knowledge Required: * High school diploma or equivalent * Flexibility to adapt to changes in scheduling * Dispatch experience preferred * Minimum of 1-year scheduling experience preferred * ERP system data base entry preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) * Data entry experience with fast and accurate typing/keyboarding skills * Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure is needed * Proven customer service skills with the ability to work with a variety of departments and people * Good decision making, extremely organized, strong attention to detail, keeping track of multiple tasks while prioritizing projects are a must * Confident in taking initiative, independent of direct supervision * Ability to sit for long periods of time * Ability to stand 4+ hours a day on a concrete floor in a warehouse environment * Lift 50 lbs occasionally, bend, twist, and stoop * Good decision making with ability to perform job duties with limited supervision Store Operational Hours: Job is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift, with approved overtime as needed.
