Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field of study. Five years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered

  • Operational knowledge of management information systems, use of personal computers and application software

  • Six to eight years (6-8) extensive production management experience in a high volume, dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated organizational, communication, problem solving and people skills

  • Technical background strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the Production Team in their efforts to achieve all Key Operational Indicators by participating on a daily basis in team meetings and offering ideas/suggestions

  • Supervise production activities through strong leadership, communication, motivation and direction of employees to ensure product quality and delivery

  • Train team leaders and fork lift drivers in developing teamwork skills and team oriented activities in a positive working environment

  • Coordinate the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and employees to meet Key Operational Indicators

  • Track time sheets and attendance records and ensure that all performance reviews are completed in a timely manner

  • Supervise Overtime Equalization to ensure that it is fairly administrated

Coordinate staffing needs and ensure that all personnel issues are dealt with in a timely manner

Join our Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team in Greenville, South Carolina as the F-16 Aircraft Build Team Production Supervisor to staff and manage technical proficiency levels to ensure a trained, qualified, skilled workforce. This position will lead the production build process for F-16V Block 70 to include various structural assembly phases. Additional responsibilities include: * Foster customer relations building rapport and confidence between the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and our System Program Office. * Help employees and the organization move effectively and efficiently through change by facilitating implementation and acceptance. * Manage all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, cost, resources, logistics/production control, equipment and process/procedure. Instill quality, product disciplines and stringent adherence to the Production absolutes. * Develop strategies to package and absorb out-of-station work, in-span to prevent disruption to normal production sequence/flow. * Drive focus toward continuous process improvement, corrective action and expeditious implementation of robust, relevant corrective action plans. * Ensures the Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule performance for assigned production area. * Accomplishes results through lower-level subordinate production leads and employees. * Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost and schedule performance. * Recognizes and rewards superior individual performance and effectively addresses poor performance issues. * Creates a culture that ensures accountability and trust while ensuring compliance with Company Policies & Procedures. * Candidate must be available and willing to move another shift to support future expansion and production rate increase. * To be considered for this opportunity, candidate must be a US citizen.
