Production Supervisor FIRST SHIFT - Automotive

Salary UP TO $75,000 Plus Excellent Benefits &Paid Relocation to the Mid-South USA

A rapidly growing automotive manufacturer is looking for a First Shift Production Supervisor. This facility is adding new production lines to accommodate their growth. In this position, youll provide leadership and direction to Production Employees to meet short and long-term objectives & production schedules. Youll make production decisions that assure customer satisfaction, quality, safety and environmental objectives are met.

As the Production Supervisor, youll ensure planned production, quality, and budget levels & objectives are met and will report progress to the Production Manager. Other duties include:
Investigate & analyze problems pertaining to production delays, quality discrepancies, inventory, as well as inadequate methods of operation
Promote safe work practices, conditions, habits, training & development of associates
Participate in the development of the departments goals and objectives
Champion lean & continuous improvement through teamwork
Administer fair and consistent corrective discipline & companys human resource policies when needed.The Salary up to $75,000 & in addition, there are Excellent Big Company Benefits & a Paid Relocation to the beautiful Mid-South USA! Requirements for this Production Supervisors role:
Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred
Experience in an automotive environment
Understanding of manufacturing operations
Good technical & communication skills

As the Production Supervisor, you will have a diverse work load in support of the manufacturing needs of the plant. The successful candidate will collaborate with other departments to assess the plants processes and use their critical thinking skills to trouble-shoot any issues that arise. You will have an opportunity to expand your knowledge as each day varies and be able to contribute to the plants growth and success. Job Responsibilities * Manage and engage staff based on Cascades' values and business strategy * Drive change initiative and implement process improvements as part of a multi-functional team * Lead safety efforts for employees by identifying high-risk situations, conducting safety meetings and coordinating worker safety activities * Optimize efficiencies and drive efforts to reduce waste and downtime and increase production availability * Effectively manage human and material resources to ensure sound financial performance and achievement of manufacturing efficiency targets * Coordinate training efforts for a diverse workforce and have a working knowledge of best practices for training and development Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or relevant field (preferably in pulp/paper) * 2-3 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility Skills * Strong communication skills (both oral and written). * Results-oriented and the ability to motivate a team to perform at high levels. * Experience in troubleshooting and process improvement. * Ability to make good decisions with an innovative approach. * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
