We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employs approximately 200 personnel. The Company's key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems. We are currently in search for a Production Supervisror to oversee operations of the machining, assembly and test department. This person will be responsible for overseeing the site's machining, tooling, fixturing, honing and deburring cells and assembly and testing cells.


  • Organize, plan, control and supervise employees engaged in the assembly of company products; ensuring that production is completed on schedule and in accordance with specification and quality standards.

  • Communicating processes, standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet manufacturing process requirements, FAA and Company quality requirements as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence.

  • Will also oversee, monitor, and document employee training, performance, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.

  • Will work closely with production control, engineering, and the manufacturing team to resolve production obstacles and improve techniques.

  • Responsible for development, cross-training, scheduling, and directing of team members.

  • Plans and supervises employees engaged in the assembly of company products according to planning and production control documents.

  • Establishes and monitors production schedules and volume against targets to ensure that commitments are met; resolves production problems and coordinates and expedites the completion of special orders.

  • Monitors the inventory and ordering of production materials, tools, and supplies and ensures that the assembly cells are maintained to provide for a smooth production flow and optimization of costs.

  • Participates in the development of new and effective processes and production techniques and processes.

  • Assists production engineering in the review of blueprints and engineering drawings to determine feasibility of assembly.

  • Coordinates with quality assurance to maintain standards of quality within the organization and conducts on-site inspection of work completed or in process to ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Coordinates the training of assigned employees in new techniques to improve flexibility and enhance the capabilities of the organization.


  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university (preferred); or equivalent experience in a technical field.

  • At least 5 years in a supervisory / lead capacity with direct report; preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • At least 5 years of Hydro-mechanical assembly and testing / and 10 years complex machining experience; in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry.

  • Possess Lean/Continuous Improvement experience in a complex assembly and test environment; aerospace preferred.

  • Experience with 5S, Work Station Design, establishing Standard Work and Visual Factory Management tools.

The 2nd Shift Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing / Operations supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. Manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production on the 2nd Shift. Primary Responsibilities: * Ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell on the 2nd Shift are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. * Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness. * Plans and executes scheduling for multiple cells or a complex cell to meet production schedules. * Guides the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity. * Supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations. * Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity. * Guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities. * Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service. * Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant. * Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel. * Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function. * Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines. * Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.
