Primary Function

As the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of Manufacturing Department, the direction of the plant work force and the meeting of daily production schedules. In addition, you will supervise and coordinate activities of Leaders and workers, verifies correct manufacturing processes are adhered to, as well as, works with other operators, engineers and quality personnel to identify and resolve potential customer issues.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures to Leaders and Operators.

  • Responsible for establishing a safe workplace through employee involvement.

  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

  • Responsible for timely notification of scheduled hours to leaders and employees.

  • Responsible for completing employee time, absenteeism, and vacation paperwork or systems in a timely manner.

  • Develop and promote positive relations with employees through effective communication of company policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for coordination and implementation of the cross training program, the manufacturing training program and departmental rotation plans.

  • Study production schedules, estimate man-hours requirements for completion of job assignment and make appropriate action plans.

  • Responsible for timely completion of all manufacturing production schedules including subassemblies, service requirements, and other department requests.

  • Responsible for product quality in accordance with established Company guidelines and / or specifications.

  • Work with Engineering on creating, maintaining and implementing drawings, BOM revisions, ECO, ETC.

  • Perform all other duties assigned

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 4 years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience

  • Supervisor experience within manufacturing, leadership skills, understand basic principles of human resources and manufacturing process, ability to make decisions and the willingness to follow policies and procedures.

  • Supervisor experience in the water heater, manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills via written and oral
