Production Supervisor (2Nd Shift)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse & production activities during the night shift including shipping/receiving of materials and maintaining accurate inventory and associated records. Oversee the operations of the production department and work closely with the Production Manager to meet productivity goals. Ensure we maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. The Night Supervisor will work in collaboration with other managers and team members to ensure we achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and maintain processes, housekeeping, and safety requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure all daily goals and safety requirements are met.

• Collaborate with office teams to ensure all loads meet labeling, pack outs and documentation requirements.

• Proactively plan the day to achieve the highest level of productivity and efficiency by reporting to work 30 minutes prior to the start of the night shift.

• Collaborate with the Production Coordinator to ensure all inventory data is recorded accurately.

• Plan and assign daily workloads and follow up accordingly.

• Perform audits as assigned by Quality.

• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and all relevant documentation such as inspections reports are being turned in.

• Address performance issues and resolve problems with team members respectfully.

• Understand and problem solve day-to-day operations in the warehouse & production department (cut-offs, hot items, etc.)

• Manage and coach the Production team on adapting to a versatile environment.

• Communicate and collaborate with all team members.

• Train guide and evaluate your team and report back to the Production Manager.

• Ensure all team members' documentation is completed accurately.

• Follow work instructions and safety policies.

• Ensure teams participation in physical/cycle counts.

• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

• Identify damages, and report overages/shortages or quality deficiencies.

• Assist Production Manager with performance evaluations within department.

• Commit to OCS Blue & OSHA Safety Facility Standard

• Perform any additional tasks given by the Production Manager

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory role.

• Knowledge of warehouse and packaging equipment

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of proper PPE requirements.

• Functional knowledge of a warehouse environment

• Good math, language, and reading skills.

• Problem Solver

• Have a sense of urgency.

• Considerate and respectful to all team members

• Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Ability to be flexible with the work schedule.

• Basic computer skills may be required.

• Team player

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

• Climb on and off equipment repeatedly

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
