Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift Plastics Manufacturing- Base Salary to 80k/year- Middlefield, OH

• Our client, an industry leader known for pioneering innovative, sustainable solutions with a safety-first approach, has been shaping the field for over 50 years. They are now seeking a Production Supervisor for their 2nd shift operationsto join their team as they expand.
• The Production Supervisor will guide the manufacturing production team to maintain a safe and incident-free work environment, providing leadership to meet productivity, safety, and quality targets while actively seeking opportunities for performance improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a safe workplace environment and fosters a safety-conscious culture throughout all operations
• Tracks productivity to identify areas for improvement and ensures operations are within budget utilizing lean manufacturing principles and cross-training strategies
• Maintains adherence to inventory control procedures to achieve inventory accuracy goals
• Ensures compliance with company policies, standards, and safety regulations, both personally and by overseeing adherence among team members
• Monitors production to ensure quality standards are met and adherence to quality processes
• Promotes safety excellence by encouraging employee involvement, ownership, and accountability in hazard identification and mitigation
• Manages the recruitment, scheduling, and supervision of both full-time and temporary staff
• Provides timely coaching, corrective feedback, and implements disciplinary measures, including termination if necessary
• Conducts quarterly and annual performance reviews for team members in a timely manner
• Facilitates team development, employee skill enhancement, and problem-solving initiatives
• Oversees process documentation, training program procedures, and maintains workplace cleanliness and safety standards
• Collaborates with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and cost reduction
• Assists in troubleshooting and resolving production issues

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years of supervisory experience required, manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing setting, preferable with knowledge of injection molding or blow molding processes, is preferred
