Production Supervisor 2nd Shift Electronics Assembly

Salary $65,000 - $85,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Southern USA

Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacture of automotive service equipment. Their computer based products set the standard in the industry. Currently in need of a full-time, 2nd Shift Electronics Supervisor. Youll be involved in supervising and development of 20 hourly employees for PCB Cable assembly. Must be able to interpret schematics and PCB layout using electronic applied sciences. Must be hands on and able to provide detailed analysis. Must have strong working knowledge in the application of electrical circuits.

Youll be responsible to the Plant Manager for meeting aggressive production requirements while maintaining high expectations in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Direct hourly workforce of approximately 20 PCB/Cable assemblers to meet company/departmental objectives, including high standards in Quality, Safety, and Productivity
Provide training and cross-training for all employees to ensure a versatile workforce
Complete all routine paperwork, reports, and schedules in accordance with company/departmental objectives
Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and management.Salary $65,000 - $85,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid to the centrally located plant near a larger metro area in the Mid-South / Southern USA. Access to good shopping areas and affordable housing this community is very family friendly.

Minimum Requirements for this Production Supervisor position:
At least 2 years supervisory experience in an electronics assembly or manufacturing plant
Hand soldering skills
Able & willing to work 2nd shift.
Analytical and decision making abilities
Mechanical and Electronic troubleshooting skills

The supervisor is focused mainly on the daily operation of the department to assure that it operates in the most efficient manner with the highest standards of safety, sanitation and quality.<br></p><p><strong>Principle Responsibilities</strong><br></p><ul> <li>Daily assignment and movement of personnel on production lines to effectively use and/or remove labor as production requirements dictate. Maintain a constant and effective level of communications with Scheduling Supervisor, Packaging Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and production labor force.</li> <li>Communicate throughout the day with Scheduling Supervisor concerning status of assigned packaging lines and upcoming requirements.</li> <li>Coordinate packaging supply requirements for assigned lines with Warehouse Manager Supply Warehouse Supervisor, Scheduling Supervisor and Supply Operator.</li> <li>Accurate tracking and documentation for labor and time attendance system.</li> <li>Maintain daily shift log for labor and machine utilization reporting and analysis.</li> <li>Negotiate labor problem resolutions with Union Steward and Packaging Manager.</li> <li>Direct and train personnel on specific line duties, and responsibilities to achieve and maintain proficiency for all job functions. Participate in coordinating and directing standard operating line adjustments and troubleshooting with line operators (i.e. code dates, glue adjustments, rail adjustments, limited changeovers, etc.).</li> <li>Direct and train personnel on safety procedures involving specific job duties as well as general plant safety guidelines.</li> <li>Maintain strict Sanitation GMP and HACCP procedures and guidelines for assigned areas. Responsible for proper documentation of Master Sanitation Schedules, Food Incident Reports, Magnet Log and other related administrative requirements.</li> <li>Oversee rice transfer from Clean Rice Department in order to maintain adequate rice supply for packaging schedule.</li> <li>Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to ready machinery for scheduled requirements.</li> <li>Notifies Maintenance Supervisor, Packaging Manager and Scheduling Supervisor of major machine malfunctions and coordinates the required maintenance with Maintenance Supervisor.</li> <li>Compile daily packaging reports (Production &amp; Downtime data) and submit to Packaging Manager per defined time parameters.</li> <li>Monitor product quality (i.e., rice, ingredients, packaging, weight control, etc.).Involves constant communication with QC personnel and line operators.</li> <li>Communicate company policy and procedures. Issue disciplinary action for policy non-compliance (i.e. safety procedures, attendance, work rules, job performance, etc.).</li> <li>Fill in for absent supervisory personnel as directed by the Packaging Manager.</li> <li>Conduct safety meetings with employees.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Experience</strong><br></p><ul><li>A minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience is required, ideally in a manufacturing facility.
