Job Overview

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in packaging beverage products for storage & shipment, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple high speed production lines.

Position Responsibilities

  • Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines.

  • Manage within labor and operating expense budget.

  • Coordinate beverages packaging ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.

  • Meet the productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental and morale goals established for the site.

  • Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record.

  • Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.

  • Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Make recommendations for long term solutions, including recommendations for replacing equipment, refurbishing equipment, procedural changes, productivity improvement, material change, etc., related to the area of accountability.

  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.

  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.

  • Manage and facilitate employee and management relationship within the guidelines of the labor contract and company policy.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 2 years previous management/supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel

  • Work flexible shifts, weekend and overtime as business needs

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage and/or Consumer Goods is preferred

  • Background in Lean Six Sigma manufacturing principles, Kaizen, and/or TPM is highly preferred

  • Experience with SAP is highly preferred

VIEW JOBS 2/24/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-05-25T00:00 Job Overview As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for overall operating performance of the Keurig Dr Pepper production operations. You will work with the team to streamline efficiency of production with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and improving financial results. Shift & Schedule: This positions will be based at our facility in Vernon, CA and will support either 2nd shift or 3rd Shift. The current schedules are as follows: * 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday from 1:00pm - 9:30pm PST * 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:30pm - 5:30am PST As schedules are subject to change according to adapting business needs, additional flexibility to work beyond these set hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required. Compensation: These are salaried roles paid on a bi-weekly pay cycle. Pay will be determined based upon experience. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) is also available immediately. What you will do: * Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do. * Supervise up to 20 or more production employees. * Hires, schedules and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff. * Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig Dr Pepper and the department. * Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures to assure consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace * Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed. * Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities on projects to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses * Tracks productivity for measured shift efficiency and improvement * Operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training * Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved * Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all front line KDP staff * Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action. * Responsible for ensuring the production of a safe, wholesome and quality product and requires trained designees when applicable * Performs other duties as requested by management * Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures * In the occasions when persons in this role are absent, management has assigned resources to cover their nominated duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.
