We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Specialist II-1stShift within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located in Scarborough,ME. In this role, you will perform the work required for the assembly ofcomponents, devices, and/or the final product depending on the trade assigned.
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott's Diagnosticsfamily of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies tosupport diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatmentand management of diseases and other conditions.
Performs work required for the assembly of components, devices and/or the final product.
Performs routine work in Striping and Initial Laminating.
Ensures quality of the product through the use of standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, training and supervision and good judgment.
Provides input for enhancing efficiencies and modifying/creating SOPs to ensure accuracy/quality or improve productivity.
Performs such duties as operator and verifier.
Certified to give clearance in the primary area.
Certified as a verifier in a primary area.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to read and understand safety signs and guidelines for equipment.
Must be able to work within warm and hot conditions while wearing safety clothing and equipment
Can identify defects on products quickly (either visually, audibly or by touching) in order to prevent defective products from being shipped to customers
