The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. As a Production Specialist

  • 2nd shift, allows you the opportunity to apply an accumulated knowledge of warehousing and inventory control in a role that allows you to work independently, while being a part of a greater team? In the position of "Inventory Control Production Specialist" you will play a critical role in facilitating and maintaining the flow of material to production areas throughout our facility and assisting in the shipment of finished goods. You'd work to provide support to internal and external business partners while fostering a positive business culture throughout our operations. As part of the logistics and inventory control team you will be responsible for completing a wide variety of task to facilitate the achievement of our safety, quality, and financial goals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in the end-to-end impact of inventory management. That additional knowledge creates the potential for additional responsibilities and opportunities for advancement within a global industry-leading company. This position works 10 hour shifts Monday

  • Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.

  • This is a Safety Sensitive position under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2016.

Your responsibilities

  • Meet outlined safety, production, and quality standards while moving material inside and outside of the facility by hand or using various inventory control equipment (forklifts, order pickers, elevated platforms, spotter trucks)

  • Order/pull fulfillment

  • Loading/unloading box trailers

  • Loading/unloading flatbeds

  • Docking/undocking empty and loaded trailers

  • Accurately document and transact all material movements daily

  • Cross train to be adept at providing support for all production areas of the facility. This position requires the flexibility to support all areas of the facility, both inside and outside depending on demand

  • Performing consolidation and return to stock operations daily

  • Support production planning by performing location checks, as requested

  • Support and assist in shipping of outbound goods using ERPLX and SAP software

  • Support and assist in receiving of raw materials

Your background

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 6 to 12 months of related experience, applicable education/training, or a combination of experience and education that equate to the ability to perform all necessary task proficiently

  • Basic computer skills, Windows OS

  • Ability to operate or train to operate proficiently all equipment necessary to perform responsibilities of the position

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing scenarios and priorities based on demand

  • Ability to learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, quality, and productivity

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, use fractions, decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percentages

  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions, written and/or verbal

  • Ability to solve problems in a standardized situation with some variables

  • Ability to work in a high noise environment that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 pounds

  • Flexible in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for overtime and holiday shifts

  • 2-3 yrs. applicable forklift, warehouse, and/or dock experience or technical certifications

  • Experience in the safe operation of tractor trailers; CDL not required

  • Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to use common word processing and spreadsheet software, Microsoft office

  • Commitment and ability to follow health and safety guidelines and utilize all required safety equipment

  • Detail oriented with good analytical and communication skills

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
