Production Shift Supervisor - Nights

Responsibilities

Purpose:

The production department is at the heart of our operations here in Sioux Falls, SD. The Shift Supervisor directs all of the day-to-day activities within this department and is held responsible for the overall accomplishments and productivity of their shift. In order to achieve consistently strong results, this individual will lead by example, and promote a positive, proactive, productive and safety-minded team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies

• Directly manage 2 Department Leads, and indirectly manage 35+ production workers

• Monitor and direct all aspects of the production process

• Deliver performance appraisals and disciplinary interventions/rewards

• Address and resolve employee conflicts and complaints

• Maintain high quality standards and communicate all serious deficiencies

• Develop and mentor Team Leads

• Maintain employee attendance, performance and training records

• Complete daily reports

• Conduct interviews and employee meetings

• Perform First Responder duties as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent from College or technical school

• At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing

• Proven experience working in a supervisory/management role in the industry preferred

• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills

• Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work activities

• Demonstrate authoritative yet fair leadership qualities

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to project a positive image of the Company

• Positive impact coach

• Experienced in a multiculural environment
