What Do We Do Here?

Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, highly organized and clean 300,000 SQ. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

What's the Job Like?

  • Planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.

  • Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process.

  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities.

  • Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.

  • Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.

  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, machine failures or other interruptions, collaborating with management, production, and/or engineering.

  • Read work orders to determine material or setup requirements.

  • Review documents, such as production schedules or work orders to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.

  • Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.

  • Plan production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs, using forecasts.

  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, and materials so that status reports can be completed.

  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.

  • Calculate figures, such as required amounts of labor or manufacturing costs using adding machines, calculators, or computers.

  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.

  • Establish and prepare product manufacturing directions and locations and information on required materials, equipment, and/or numbers of workers needed.

  • Maintain files, such as production records, on time delivery, lead times, etc. related to planning and scheduling activities.

  • Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to completion estimates.

  • All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.

  • Champion facility goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Innovation and Cost - seek opportunities to provide feedback on process improvements, cost savings, and opportunities to work more efficiently and/or safely.

  • Remain open to feedback and collaboration with other departments and business units

  • Regular attendance and timeliness

Who's Going to be Successful in this Job?

EDUCTATIONAL & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of related and demonstrable experience in scheduling and planning in manufacturing and production environments.

  • 5+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Experienced use of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Advanced understanding, manipulation and use of Excel.

  • Demonstrable experience managing a team.

  • Demonstrable experience creating efficient and effective planning and scheduling programs.
