Production Control Coordinator - Die Business

Job Description:

Located in Lowell, MA, this Production Scheduler shall be part of the Lowell Operations team reporting to the Lowell Operations Manager. The Production Scheduler shall utilize MACOM's ERP (SAP), and configuration management system (Agile) to schedule, release, and track semiconductor assemblies from kit receipt through test and final inspection. The coordinator will interface with material planning, stockroom, and production personnel. Responsibilities include:

  • Using the ERP, the shop floor control system, and the automated tracking tools to provide daily production status. Provide regular communication between manufacturing and planning functions including work order process flow and projected date modifications.

  • Identify priority WO and Work Center. Ensure kitting is being performed to align with this priority. Work with the backlog, customer service, planning and production supervisors to optimize capacity considering revenue, OTD and strategic customer requests.

  • Works with Production Management and Materials Management/Planning to facilitate products availability and production readiness.

  • Participating in production meetings to be aware of schedules and any hot priority products. Identifying risks to schedules, revenue, and customer deliveries

  • Ensuring any customer specific requirements such as data sheets, labeling and packaging get communicated with the WO loads.

  • Assist level loading/lot sizes for production jobs.

  • Maintaining an active knowledge of all work in process to aid in providing a delivery status to our customers.

  • Maximizing production through-put while maintaining product integrity. Minimize product queue times.

  • The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, problem solver and proactive process owner. They will collaborate and share their knowledge with others to help develop the organization and their peers.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, project management or a related field.

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and Power BI

  • Prior ERP and shop floor control experience required. SAP experience a plus.

  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

  • Possess the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes. High energy, self-motivated, positive attitude with strong communication skills and an ability to interface effectively with different backgrounds and at every level of the organization.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing

  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor wafer, microelectronic and hybrid assembly processes and manufacturing processes such as wafer probe testing, wafer singulation, automated wafer pick and place, die attach, wire bond, automated DC/RF testing.

  • Understanding of ESD procedures and contamination control.
