Production Scheduler (Gainesville, GA)

The Production Planner / Scheduler will report to the Production Control Manager
Establish realistic capabilities based on operational input and historical data
Monitor and revise production schedules based upon load plan and work with the scheduling team to meet WIP targets and downstream requirements
Monitor execution of production schedules through relevant work centers of focus and provide reports as required to track production progress
Work in conjunction with Production Department Managers and/or area Supervisors to establish recovery plans for order backlog conditions
Assist with processing customer expedites
Track and publish on time delivery performance
Participate in production meetings providing input in (overtime) utilization
Monitor and maintain stock levels for key customer stock accounts
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and effective professional working relationship with all internal customers
1-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
College degree preferred with three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to communicate effectively, Good verbal communications skills a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Database knowledge preferred - AS400, SAP, or Oracle a plus
Efficiency in establishing priorities, availability of labor, material, machines and equipment to meet internal & external targets.
Strong analytical and computer skills
Team player; ability to work as a team; Self-starter; Adaptable to change
Ability to prioritize needs
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the workforce. An effective trainer and presenter with a "people" focus.
