Job Description
Under general direction, the Production Planner is responsible for creating work orders, scheduling production, and coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials to support the established MRP production schedule. The Production Planner is usually responsible for planning activities for either a moderate depth of top- and sub-assemblies or a moderate breadth of differing lines of production. The Production Planner accomplishes this by coordinating with the operations and procurement teams to ensure the movement of materials and resources through departments to meet production schedules.

Experience: A minimum of 4+ years' experience in scheduling, supply chain or fulfillment; A minimum of 2 years' experience in a lean manufacturing environment
Knowledge: Knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions; Knowledge of scheduling and capacity planning tools; Familiarity with raw components and their interchangeability
Skills/Abilities : Skilled in navigating and using Oracle ERP; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel; Strong detail-orientation; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; Effective interpersonal skills; Ability to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple inputs and outputs. Review, analyze, and sign Engineering change requests.
Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field of study preferred.
