Job Overview
This position reports to the Production Reporting Supervisor within the Accounting Organization and will be responsible for production allocations, regulatory reporting, management reporting and analysis for the Company's US assets. This position will interface regularly with Revenue Accounting, Tax & Royalty, Marketing Accounting, Operations and Land. The incumbent will need to demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills and a high level of initiative to realize department deliverables and goals within aggressive deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
Work with Operations and field personnel and maintain positive working relationships.
Create and maintain more complex delivery networks in SAP PRA to reflect physical flow.
Understand the field setup and flow in order to record volumes accurately.
Understand marketing arrangements and deal flow.
Reconcile oil sales to purchaser / transporter statements.
Input gas gatherer / transporter data and monthly sales volumes.
Allocate oil, gas and water volumes in SAP PRA timely and accurately.
Analyze production, working with Daily Team and Production Operations to resolve issues.
Assist Revenue in monthly volume variance explanations.
Complete and file regulatory reports accurately and timely.
Work with Tax and Royalty group to reconcile volume variances on regulatory reports.
Provide data for royalty, litigation and property acquisition & disposition issues and requests.
Ensure timely resolution of royalty, litigation and property acquisition & disposition issues and requests.
Interact with other departmental personnel to improve departmental communication.
Travel to field office locations as needed to build relationships and to ensure systems match physical flow.
Possess strong knowledge of production reporting and share that knowledge with others.
Develop, implement and maintain procedures for processes.
Demonstrate initiative in seeking additional responsibility.
Bring ideas that promote sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Assist with complex projects.
Job Requirements
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred
Computer Proficiencies: SAP PRA or equivalent revenue systems, ProCount and Excel
Work Experience: 5+ years O&G experience required with production reporting focus. Experience in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and North Dakota is a plus.
