Production Quality Specialist - LEAP MRO

Location(s): United States; Indiana; Lafayette
Production Quality Specialist role will be dedicated to LEAP MRO and support the MRO quality team. Role is expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise. Role will help with on-site audits, maintain our Quality Management System for the MRO site and collaborate with the production team to discuss quality metrics, trends, procedure changes and corrective actions.
In addition, as the Production Quality Specialist, you will:
Maintain regulatory certifications - applications and renewals
Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements through the performance of internal audits
Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers such as customers / regulators
Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
Build solid relationships with key customers and suppliers, and ensure customer requirements are evaluated, documented and flowed down properly, and products are validated
Maintain and continually refine the Quality Management System for the site
Have a strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and preferable 145 experience
Work cooperatively with the operations team to identify systemic quality issues within the plant and develop robust root cause corrective actions in accordance with the Quality Improvement Plan
Discuss quality metrics, trends, procedure changes, corrective action status, Lesson Learned etc. with the team members on a regular basis
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
