General Summary:

  • Production Planning Analyst is responsible for using Metso Flow Controls Planning System (Kinaxis Rapid Response - RR) to optimize global production plans. Analyst will interpret multi-line project orders and recommend optimal production location and schedule based on customer request, project contract requirements, material and capacity constraints, alternate sourcing and other considerations. Analysts will utilize RR simulation capabilities to perform work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Becomes RR experts

  • Using RR, develop production plans for projects and abnormal demands to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules.

  • Develops production schedule and works with plant management across global facilities to ensure on schedule deliveries

  • Troubleshoots demand-supply misalignments and develops course of action to bring orders back on schedule. Expedite operations and materials that delay schedules if appropriate after analysis.

  • Analyzes plant production capacities and performs analysis to determine efficient plant loading

  • Drive data accuracy to improve planning output. Identifies opportunities to leverage RR for improved scheduling.

  • Maintain partnerships with order management team to ensure x-functional understanding of decisions taken

Works in team setting to update monthly department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, supply chain, business or equivalent

  • 1-3 year experience in a manufacturing environment, including forecasting, scheduling, and inventory planning

  • APICS CPIM or in process

  • Ability to perform multivariable analysis of multi-line customer orders with inexact supply chains

  • Must be able to support decisions with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Analytical skills and good judgement

  • Understanding of production planning, demand planning and inventory planning concepts and vernacular

Job posting end date:04/29/2019 Job Description: The Painter position is responsible for painting all products and components using Jamesbury blue paint, as well as, all COE specified paint types. In addition, work includes sand blasting and steam cleaning valves and components. Work is somewhat repetitive. Works under direct supervision of the Process Supervisor. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Responsible for reading and understanding all requirements of the Manufacturing Order and any special procedures. * Measure and record finished paint thickness per applicable spec's. * Perform holiday and environmental testing per applicable spec's and procedures. * Process valves and components per applicable PSE paint specifications and record results on appropriate test reports. * Depending on workload, may be directed to perform other duties, within the specification of the Labor Grade. * Demonstrates safe work practices and able to work alone or in a team environment. Qualifications and Requirements: * 1-2+ years of actual on the job experience prefered * Expected to be self-motivated and detail oriented, especially when measuring and mixing paint batches. * Ability to read and comprehend English is required. * Mechanical ability required along with safe and proper use of PPE is required. * Most work is done within a factory setting. * Repetitive work which may require frequent standing, bending and lifting. * Frequently lifts materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
