The Production Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling production lines per demand for both finished goods and fluid blends, and monitoring inventory levels in support of operations and distribution at Lube-Tech's Shreveport manufacturing facility. This position is also responsible for coordinating raw material availability with Procurement to ensure smooth operational feasibility. In addition, the Production Planner will coordinate rework activities as related to slow moving inventory, returns or non-conforming product. The Production Planner will also be responsible for assuring optimal cost, quality and service levels and all processes related to supply chain and manufacturing.


  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech culture and principles

  • Plan and schedule production to maintain inventory levels and support the production plan and the inventory requirements for distribution sales needs

  • Plan, maintain, and schedule production work centers along with operations dispatch plan

  • Maintain production routings

  • Coordinate with plant management for labor and resource needs to attain the production schedule

  • Coordinate raw material availability with Procurement and Operations to meet work order demand

  • Measure and drive improvements to the production schedule attainment

  • Improve and maintain inventory accuracy

  • Analyze cycle counting metrics to identify inventory issues

  • Integrate well with all internal staff and communicate issues effectively where applicable

  • Perform other duties as required


Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience

Experience and/or Training:

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in purchasing, scheduling and/or planning

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • APICS CPIM not required, but preferred


  • Must be proficient using manufacturing planning, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

Tennant Company is currently seeking a Senior Production Maintenance Supervisor for our Golden Valley manufacturing facility. PURPOSE/SCOPE: * ROLE OBJECTIVE: Drive Continuous Improvements in the Overall Equipment Effectivness (OEE) of production assets. Support the Manufacturing Services Value Stream's mission to be the center of operational excellence delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction by focusing on continuous improvement activities and root cause problem solving. * TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Manage and develop the Plant-1 Production Maintenance Team across 3-shifts of operation. * PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Responsibility (managed directly or subcontracted) for production or production support equipment projects including, but not limited to, new equipment deployments, retrofits, rebuilds, and decommissions. Support for electric infrastructure (power up to the asset) to be provided by the Facilities Maintenance Team. * ROADMAPS: Work with Plant-1 Value Stream Managers and the Director of Operations to develop a 5-year Production Equipment Roadmap based on capacity needs, technology trends, and equipment sunset schedules. * RESOURCE BALANCING: Work with Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to balance resources against demands, always wearing the 'Tennant' Hat; making the right trade-off decisions for Tennant. GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES: * PERSONNEL: * Provide leadership, coaching, and development of employees to meet safety, quality, cost and engagement goals. * Develop and provide metrics related to budget and resource effectiveness for the production maintenance team. * Supervise team with a commitment to their development through performance management, individualized development plans/opportunities, and visibility. * Develop and deliver comprehensive maintenance and reliability tactical training to campus maintenance resources * Regularly respond with advice to maintenance/equipment related questions, ensure access to up-to-date maintenance/operating procedures, and facilitate strong team communications activities. * STRATEGY: * Develop a long term vision for transitioning maintenance to a Predictive Maintenance organization. * Develop and implement strategies that accelerate and improve current maintenance practices and processes to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). * Partner with worldwide operations group to coordinate and align maintenance activities in support of operational excellence. Provide leadership in a Lean Manufacturing environment; consistently driving out waste. * Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industrial equipment manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling, preventive/predictive maintenance, and safety, health & environmental policies and procedures. * CULTURE: * Deliver a Culture of Pride in Workmanship, Accountability for Performance, and Expectation for High Performance through the Production Maintenance Team; seeking opportunities to frequently illustrate what 'Good' looks like. * Act as a Lean champion within the maintenance department by implementing Lean concepts that reduce or eliminate waste. * PROCESS: * Identify required equipment and process upgrades and effectively manage associated projects * Establish, maintain, and leverage value from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing, MRO management, and maintenance history of plant equipment. * Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics including: unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, and maintenance related costs for production assets. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution required in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering degree preferred. * 2+ years supervisory experience required. * 5+ years of experience of manufacturing maintenance * SAP, CAD, preventative maintenance, energy management software experience is preferred. * Experience with TPM, predictive and preventative maintenance, 5S, Standard Work concepts and tools. * Background with CNC machine operating principles and maintenance requirements strongly desired.
