Summary
Working with all departments to ensure jobs have the necessary material, drawings etc. to be completed on time. Also in charge of planning and preparing production schedules for manufacturing, industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Drawing up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
Analyzes production specifications and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
Expedites the fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations through the completion of an order
Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
Prepares reports
Prepares lists of required materials, tools and equipment
Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously establish manufacturing sequence and lead times
Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
Releasing shop orders, items to ship and process returns
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
2 - 4 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, or US Person under ITAR
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Does not have any supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.

Competently use Microsoft products, have knowledge of material planning system, and general computer skills.

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to identify problems, deal with them, and work towards a solution.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to pull handles and push buttons. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Compensation
$19.00/hour to $30.00/hour
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
