Eaton'sB-Line Division is currently seeking a Production Planner to join our team.

Thisposition is based at our Highland, IL Divisional Headquarters.

TheProduction Planner has responsibility for developing and issuing executable,finite planned, production schedules for assigned work centers in order to meetor exceed customer service level goals. This includes verification of availablecapacity, materials, and tooling needed to execute production schedule. TheProduction Planner coordinates daily with the Production Supervisors andoperators of the assigned work centers to validate or modify the productionschedule in addition to help resolving issues affecting schedule adherence andcustomer service level performance. The Production Planner is also the primarypoint of contact for all customer service inquiries and issues and isresponsible for providing accurate and timely lead time estimates and orderstatus information.

  • Youwill do production planning using finite planning methodology

  • Youwill do detailed Capacity Planning

  • Youwill communicate and coordinate with Production Supervisors, operators, and

Customer Service regarding order status information.

  • Youwill Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities related toproduction planning, customer service and inventory management.

  • Youwill review SAP data integrity for assigned work centers and materials.

  • Youwill participate in Lean Daily Management System (LDMS) activities and supportthe factory tier process as required.

  • Youwill manage and maintain inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply ofparts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, along with ensuring customerreliability and meeting target inventory turns.

Qualifications

Required(Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegree from accredited educational institution

  • 1year applicable work experience

  • Norelocation is offered for this position. Only applicants located within 50miles of Highland, IL will be considered.

  • Novisa sponsorship is authorized for this position. Applicants must be legallyauthorized to work in the US on an on-going basis without companysponsorship.

PreferredQualifications:

  • APICSCPIM/CSCP
  • 5-7years material management / material requirements planning / master productionscheduling experience
  • LEANimplementation experience a plus
  • SAPexperience

PositionSuccess Criteria:

  • Experiencein both individual and team-based project planning and leadership.

  • Highlevel of ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.

  • Abilityand willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary to meet projectrequirements.

  • Provenability to lead and motivate a team of individuals in a multi-taskingenvironment.

  • Teamoriented problem solving skills and corrective action methodology. Strongknowledge and understanding of engineering principle and practices.

This position is based at our Highland, IL facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. The Supervisor will be responsible for performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on time delivery, cost for their respective area. Must work cooperatively with other functional leaders and managers to optimize the entire product line to exceed the needs of the customer and is relentless about continues improvement. Emphasize the creation of continuous product flow, utilize pull systems where flow I not currently possible and works to level the workload. * You will ensure the proper application and interpretation of established personnel and safety policies throughout the plant. * You will create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and the area is compliant with safety requirements. * You will demonstrate knowledge about employees within the area and the value of that knowledge when applied to specific solutions to problems, specifically in Time Away from Work. * You will promote a team environment and must develop direct reports through problem solving skill sets. * You will assure that appropriate equipment is provided, adequately maintained and safely operated. * You will be responsible for managing team members, employment decisions and performance assessments of the Product line or work group. * You will counsel employees on behavior/performance issues and initiate disciplinary actions if required. * You will lead and facilitate Kaizen Events. * You will allocate the necessary resources to meet external and internal commitments while maintaining budgetary control.
