Production Planner

Title: Production Scheduler

Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr

Shift: 4/10s 1st shift

Our Client:

Our client is a leading aerospace and defense contractor, and they are looking for a Production Planner to join their team. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Stratford, CT and is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately 1 year with a pay range of $30-40/hr. This role is on-site so you should be comfortable commuting to, Stratford, CT. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and control production schedules in alignment with material requirements to meet production goals.

• Coordinate material movement between warehouse/storeroom and production areas to ensure timely availability.

• Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and any potential production issues.

• Schedule equipment and personnel, and confirm material supply and demands.

• Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.

• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, contracts administration, etc.

• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.

Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook.

• SAP experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Previous experience in production scheduling, material coordination, or a related field is highly desirable.
