OBJECTIVE: As contributing members of the operational team, production partners provide the expertise necessary for it to achieve superior business results through its self-manufactured products.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary

  • Total Process Ownership (TPO)- Partner responsible to maintain the manufacturing process and equipment in optimum condition. The integration of several process techniques focused on achieving high levels of overall process effectiveness.

  • Team Skills:
    Partner responsible for fundamental understanding of team in development and active participation within a team environment through division and plant team orientation, safety and quality training.

  • Depending on the Plant this may include the following:

Perform Team Skills

  • Quality, Environment, and Safety Training (QES)

  • Hazardous communication

  • Lock out/Tag out

  • Fire Prevention

  • Confined Spaces

  • Hearing Conservation

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Emergency Action Plan

  • Drug Free Workplace

  • Powered Material Handling Equipment

  • Blood Borne Pathogens

  • Storm Water

Product Processing

  • Basic product handling to convert raw material into finished goods such as moving, weighing, packaging, stacking or operating a metal detector.

  • Complete and maintain Safety & Environmental

  • Basic knowledge and completions of Manufacturing System (QMS) documentation.

Basic Machine Operation

  • Depending on the Plant this may include the basic operation of the following:

  • Scales

  • Metal detector (Meat only)

  • Headspace analyzer

  • Gas flushing equipment

  • Top side icer for cake decoration

  • Varying washing machines

  • Bun stacker

  • Product Conveyors

  • Printers, copiers and other basic printing equipment

Team Coordination

  • As a contributing member of the team, designated partners will provide skills and expertise necessary to achieve superior results. The coordinator guides the team in key result areas such as:

  • Production

  • Administration

  • Maintenance

  • Quality

Shipping

  • Packing - place finished goods into a shipping unit

  • Palletizing - stack shipping units in an interlocking manner utilizing the correct tie and height, and ensure that all pallets are strapped/stretch wrapped to minimize product shifting or damage

Other Responsibilities

  • Assists with preparing and loading production materials

  • Checks for accuracy of product

  • Basic computer responsibilities

Experience and Education Preferred

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Certified in Team Skills

  • Requires Basic PC Skills

  • Attention to detail;

  • Good organization skills

  • Able to work in a Team based environment

  • Able to operate machines or equipment

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Quality, Environment and Safety (QES) standards;

  • Basic Math skills ( , -, *, /);

  • Basic reading and writing skills;

  • Able to communicate effectively;

  • Able to operate machines or equipment at a basic level;

  • Bi-lingual language skills is a plus

Physical and other requirements

  • Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays

  • Lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis

  • Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis

  • Work extended hours

  • Work rotating schedules

  • Able to maneuver through the facility and perform the functions of the job, with or without accommodation (standing, stooping, bending, etc.)

  • Able to work in wet, cold or hot, environments, depending on the Plant location, where temperatures are as listed below:

  • Temperature controlled environment that ranges from 80 to 100 degrees F
  • Floral
  • Temperature controlled environment that ranges from 32 to 42 degrees F
  • Meat
  • Routinely 30 - 45 Degrees F in a cold and wet environment, occasional (-) 20 or 85 degrees F in certain areas

  • Routinely 60

  • 80 degrees F in a wet environment, occasionally 38 degrees F in certain areas or 110 Degrees in other areas

Duties include receiving activities, packing and shipping, reverse logistics, sustainability and other duties as needed. In a Flex (Flexible Work Team) position, while you won't have assigned shifts or guaranteed hours each week, you'll have maximum flexibility to earn money – and a generous employee discount - around your personal schedule. On key days or peak shopping times you will be assigned a shift. These assigned shifts are based on preferences that you set and update periodically during the year. Any schedule hours listed in the job posting title are subject to change based on business needs. All holiday associates may be required to work hours other than those stated in the job posting title on weekends, or on key holiday events such as the Friday after Thanksgiving. Seasonal Receiving Associate shifts start when the location receives their truck: * Early Mornings - Shift starts between 4 am and 6 am * Mid Mornings - Shift starts between 7 am and 10 am * Afternoons - Shift starts between 11 am and 2 pm * Mid Afternoons - Shift starts between 3 pm and 5 pm * Evenings - Shift starts between 6 pm and 9 pm * Late Evenings - Shift starts between 10 pm and midnight Essential Functions: * Provide an exceptional customer shopping experience by ensuring both the in store and online customer are always the #1 priority * Service the customer in a helpful and friendly manner * Collaborate with Managers, Leads and Associates throughout the store to deliver a clean, neat and easy-to-shop store environment; maintain sales floor and fitting room recovery standards to include checking fitting room stalls, sorting merchandise and ensuring merchandise is worked back to sales floor immediately as time permits * Support Omni Channel initiatives * Perform all functions in an efficient manner; flex between tasks as directed by Supervisor * Participate in the physical inventory process and ensure that shortage prevention initiatives are executed * Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control and compliance procedures * Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality * Collaborate with peers to coordinate merchandise movement needs with other tasks (floor moves, seasonal sets, fixture needs, etc.) * Execute receiving, merchandise processing, packing/shipping and reverse logistics tasks timely and accurately to include processing inbound merchandise to floor ready standards by removing packaging and placing sensors per MMPS standards; delivery of processed merchandise to appropriate sales floor drop zones, first quality packing standards and processing of fulfillment orders and reverse logistics (damages, transfers, RTVs), accurate outbound trailer execution; collection and sorting of hangers, sensor tags, trash and recycling throughout the store; organization, maintenance and replenishment of supply areas including sales floor, building lamping, and customer carryout and special delivery as needed * Assist in other tasks as needed (pricing, signing, merchandising, replenishment, fulfillment, RFID, stockroom maintenance) Qualifications: Education/Experience: * No specific educational accomplishments are necessary. Communication Skills: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
