WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Production Operator performs all essential duties in accordance with the Skills Matrix with particular emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Some of the key functions include but are not limited to:

  • Completes related paperwork, reports, and support functions.

  • Performs work in accordance with the production schedule provided by the production planner.

  • Informs supervisors of any significant problems, issues or concerns.

  • Completes production records and inventory transactions.

  • Updates process documentation (bill of materials) as work processes are completed.

  • Updates raw material inventory using computer software (Deacom).

  • Uses WMS scanners to complete all production and packaging transactions

  • Follows detailed instructions and guidelines for specialty packaging program

  • Follows established production procedures and instructions.

  • Follows quality and safety standards.

  • Meets production deadlines.

  • Cleans, secures, and maintains work areas.

  • Participates in various EHS or other team activities.

  • Performs shipping and receiving functions.

  • Performs any operations related functions within business needs and the Skills Matrix.

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Technician experience is desired.

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Fork Truck Certification desired

  • HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or experience desirable, but not required

  • Must be able to read and performs manufacturing work instructions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing all aspects of the job

  • Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills

  • Ability to perform basic computer functions

  • Strong mechanical ability

  • Team work skills

  • Computer skills such as ERP knowledge and Microsoft Office a plus

  • Experience with WMS scanners a plus

Hands on experience on managing operations of large scale internet-centric production environments for application or infrastructure services serving tens to millions of end users * Developing monitoring tools and log analysis tools to manage operations. Managing and/or influencing infrastructure services to ensure application service uptime and user experience. Developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging and DB services such as Cassandra, MQ/JMS/Kafka, Aurora, RDS, Cloud SQL, BigTable, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cloud Spanner, Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc. * Prior experience in large scale internet companies/technologies, where uptime and continuous availability was core to the business. Building a team of engineers and Java developers to implement SRE frameworks. Working with Architecture to design reusable patterns to deploy to applications, provide governance around adoption, and influence application development teams on roadmaps and designs.
