The Converting Support position is responsible for loading rolls of plastic products onto unwind stands.  The Converting Support position will follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and customer specifications for machine set-ups.   This position is also responsible for moving pallets of finished goods via a pallet jack.  This position is responsible for routine minor maintenance, Teflon changes, razor changes, and clearing jams.

• Constant visual demands with near and far vision.
• Constant depth perception.
• Constant color vision.

• Occasional use of sharp utensils.
• Maintain high quality housekeeping of the area.
• Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/materials.
• Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the apply these skill to weights, measures of volume and distance.
• Must effectively communicate in writing and verbally ,in English.
• Must have manual dexterity for handling, folding, packing, and labeling boxes.
• Must have problem solving skills and some mechanical aptitude.
• Moderate Mechanical skill to enable troubleshooting and/or machine setup and adjustments where necessary on converting machinery.’
• Required to direct and assist co-workers in work functions
• Required to direct and assist during change over’s
