Production Operator III - 2Nd Shift

JOB TITLE: Production Operator III

Job Classification: Hourly

Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and start-up automated production equipment

• Maintain order and cleanliness of area

• Ability to troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments as required to maintain quality performance

• Must drive productivity and efficiency performance while maintaining highest levels of safety and quality

• Maintain adherence to production schedule

• Perform machine changeovers as needed

• Performs necessary calculations before and after each production order

• Completes necessary paperwork to record performance and data tracking

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Accountability for cell results

• Must have the initiative and be able to work with maintenance group to repair automated equipment

• Willingness to learn new technologies

• Communicate with technical vendors

• Able to train other operators

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude

• Knowledge of LOTO practices and proper machine guarding

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Drive for results

• Ability to use tools

• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Must have an excellent safety & quality record

Minimum Qualifications

• Visual aptitude - must be able to see with or without correction.

• Communication - ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.

• Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and grasp for varying periods of time during the workday.

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. up to shoulder height at an occasional rate.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.

Consumer products industry experience preferred.
