Job Description

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Assist engineers in developing of new products, processes, or procedures.

  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.

  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.

  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.

  • Maintain inventory of job materials.

  • Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment.

  • Clean production equipment or work areas.

  • Measure and record data associated with operating equipment.

  • Set goals and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.

  • Separate scrap or waste materials for environmentally sound disposal.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years' experience in operating equipment

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely fashion

  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and stand for a 12-hour work shift

  • Committed to quality, safety and communication

  • Team-oriented and self-directed

  • Background check required

Performs routine and complex laboratory tests in an assigned department of the clinical laboratory to provide physicians with rapid and accurate laboratory test results. Works under the direction of specialist, lead and/or supervisor. This position is not qualified for delegation of supervisory duties for NY testing areas.
