Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to read and write in English fluently.

  • Able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Able to inspect parts through a microscope for prolonged periods of time

  • Able to read and complete documentation (record visual inspections, and mathematical terms.)

  • Able to use a ruler, dial caliper and micrometer (non-digital versions)

  • Able to calculate numbers to the 4th decimal place (.0001)(Mostly adding and subtracting)

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

VIEW JOBS 11/26/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-24T00:00 Job Summary Position consists of assembling and inspecting medical devices in a clean room environment while under general supervision in accordance with specific work instructions and SOPs. Assembly and inspection sometimes done under a microscope. This position requires the ability to work with small tools and assemble small components using a high degree of dexterity and accuracy. This position requires direct contact with an implantable medical device. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Must be able to work under direct supervision and take work instruction from Supervisor and Leads, work cooperatively and productively within a team environment. * Read, Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures without deviating from the outlined process after training has been completed. * Work on Development Department process steps with limited Technician oversight. * Operates Reflow, Ovens, UV Bonder, Razor Blades, basic measurement tools (ex. Rulers, Calipers, and Pin Gauges, etc.) and perform intermediate equipment inspections (Laser Micrometer and Leak Testers). * Use intermediate assembly tools and equipment (ex. Skiver, Vante Tipping Machine and Braider). Intermediate mechanical skills (ex. braid cut back/trimming, coil twisting, markerband placement etc.). * Consistently meets attendance, quality, safety and productivity expectations. Education and Experience * High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution * 6 months – 1 Year equivalent Medical Device experience (i.e. catheter, implantable) * Working experience in a FDA or ISO regulations and high level of understanding and compliance with Cleanroom Environment, Good Documentation Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Skills and Abilities * Ability to do repetitive tasks, detail-oriented, and adherence to Nordson's Safety Policy. * Proficient in minimum 2-3 core processes for catheter assembly (internal applicants only). * Ability to sit frequently, stand, walk. and bend.
