Overview of the Production Operator position

This position is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include, but not limited to, production line equipment, forklifts or other power equipment.

  • Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently in accordance to Company Safety Policy.

  • Perform manual tasks such as: loading and supplying production line items, reworking product and loading conveyors.

  • Quality Assurance and testing compliance according to Company and/or designated facility standards.

  • Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up (5S).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience of (3) three to (5) years with a stable work history.

  • One (1) year production experience, preferably in food and beverage environment.

  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.

  • Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.

  • Physically able to safely lift bottles and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Forklift experience (required in some locations).

Position Summary: Coordinates with Public Safety Manager and/or Associate Director of Safety and Engineering to ensure that Switchboard Operations remain uninterrupted, timely, and efficient. Works as a Team Leader in the department, to ensure other Operators remain informed and to up to date on all expectations, changes, SOPs, protocols, and policies. Will also operate switchboard to relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls. Appropriately coordinates established protocols for emergency calls and alarms. Key Responsibilities: Channels all incoming calls; provides direct numbers as required. Connects inside callers with out of state lines when appropriate Responds to emergency calls following established protocols. Assists callers by using zip call or voice page as necessary, or other means. Maintains physician callboard. Maintains hourly communication with Security personnel to verify proper radio operations Informs maintenance department of any trouble lines reported by hospital personnel. Conducts a weekly test of the alarm system. Updates Hospital and Physician telephone directory as necessary in order to maintain a complete and accurate listing Works as a Team Leader in the department, to ensure other Operators remain informed and to up to date on all expectations, changes, SOPs, protocols, and policies. Communicates daily/weekly with all Operators. Acts as a department liaison when CHH Administrators, Directors, and Managers need to pass along information that is pertinent to their operations.
