JOB SUMMARY/ JOB DUTIES:

This position is responsible for operating equipement and performing the set-up, physically handling, mixing, blending, packaging product in addition to cleaning, sanitizing equipment and operating a forklift. Nature of duties requires the ability to utilize math for calculations, regular attendance and sufficient familiarity with a production envrionment perferably food-processing.

Operate equipment as assigned including: DP-2, and Raw Room equipment, and any other equipment as needed. Products include Dairy, CM, Flavor Premixes, Sage and USDA and Non-USDA Flavors. Assemble and prepares product piping for production. Manually add ingredients to tanks and vessels. Operate equipment as assigned and in accordance with work instructions. Clean and sanitize equipment used in assigned operation. Maintain data on log sheets and ensure completion/accuracy of log sheets.

Maintain organization of all tools and equipment in work area. Communicate with supervisor and relieving person as to the condition of the operation and any unusual circumstances. Adhere to all safety programs, report any safety concerns to the supervisor. Adhere to all HACCP/GMP program guidelines to ensure that product is of the highest quality and integrity. Maintain cost-effective production output, minimizing errors. Perform minor preventative maintenance on production equipment. Maintain certification as back-up for two roles within the facility

Additional duties as assigned.

Available to work overtime and weekends

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED

2+ years of demonstrated knowledge and applicable experience in a production, manufacturing or distribution fields, preferably in the food-processing environment.

Position Summary: The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment in the one or more value streams of the Good Hope operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Follow Schedule Boards or Hour by Hour boards * Run samples and adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings to match order specifications. * Perform final pre-run inspection of job, quality checks during the run, and job completion, meeting quality and quantity standards. * Perform all required preventive maintenance of press. * Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals according to procedures. * Work from standard work, written instructions, and established procedures to complete assigned tasks. * Address and resolve routine inquiries and problems, referring the more complex issues to the supervisors. * Interact with different shifts to provide updates on current jobs, issues, or updates. * All other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. * Basic computer skills E-mail, Microsoft Office, and Data Entry * Basic math skills * Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs * Ability to stand for 80% of shift * Ability to push/pull 22 lbs * Ability to climb 8 inches; frequent standing and walking * Ability to troubleshoot and communicate process issues * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Technical & Analytical skill set * Ability to read & follow written directions * Detail oriented, strong work ethic & a positive can do attitude * Desire to learn * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. * Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, following work instructions for disassembling and reassembling various types of process equipment) * Must be able to read a ruler accurately within 1/64". * Quality conscious and attention to detail * Ability to maintain standards of production, both in quantity and quality. * Willingness and ability to be cross-trained on other machines and in other departments * Ability to follow standard work.
