Production Mechanic (First Shift, Weekends)

The Production Mechanic makes an impact by -

• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all plant process and materials handling equipment

• Repairing or maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment within the facility such as motors, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment

• Repairing or replacing defective parts using hand tools and power tools

• Being able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and engineering drawings

• Suggesting improvements in work methods and procedures by communicating with workers, leaders, and supervisors

• Initiate purchase orders or work orders for parts, tools, and machines

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant or warehouse setting

• Familiarity or experience with GMP and sanitary work practices as they relate to a dairy process environment

• Completion of two-year program from a vocation / technical school
