The Meatless Farm is seeking a Production Manager to join our growing team in New York!

About The Meatless Farm

The Meatless Farm was founded in 2016 with a mission to reduce global meat consumption by making swapping in plant-based food easy, alongside naturally complementing the worlds increasing appetite for alternative and plant-based protein. The Meatless Farm aims to help households, schools, restaurants, and businesses, switch to or serve one or more plant-based meals per week.

The role

We are looking for a Production Manager, location either New York or Atlanta. The position will be responsible for the roll out of our Co-manufacturing network around North-America. You will be on the front line team to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety and productivity.

  • Co-ordinate Pre-Production and Launch preparation of new products
  • Plan and execute production trials for new and modified products in-line with the Meatless Farm requirements
  • Ensure that Meatless Farm quality standards are met at the production sites
  • Continuously optimize productivity and quality by applying lean production / six sigma methods
  • Searching for and rolling-out co-manufacturing facilities across North-America.


  • Bachelors/ Masters degree in Business or other relevant degree
  • Minimum of 5 years proven track record within a continual Improvement role in a FMCG environment
  • Experience of launching new food products
  • Financial awareness to an intermediate level
  • Formulation and delivery of workshops
  • Experience in facilitating audits around production
  • Prince (or similar) Project management qualification
  • Intermediate Food Safety qualification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lean Tools / six sigma
  • Can demonstrate a real ability to influence strong characters
  • Methodical and highly organised
  • Data analysis and data manipulation skills
  • Effective communication utilizing all channels available
  • Excellent understanding of the retail environment in Europe
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Highly organised, able to prioritize and make decisions in a demanding environment
  • Implement successful projects based on the companys needs.

The Production Manager is responsible for establishing, developing and directing the production strategy for a product category and effectively directing the business relationships with finished product suppliers and our agents to leverage lower costs and reduced lead time without sacrificing quality. The Production Manager will be responsible for the Sweaters category as well as Knits, Active, T-Shirts for the Values channel (off-price). Responsibilities * Management of production timelines, reviewing reports and recommending solutions to exceptions• Develop time and action calendars for all programs managed• Work with Design and Technical Services teams to develop production ready samples for quarterly design presentations• Work closely with all vendors and agent offices to ensure that monthly production capacity is utilized and recommend appropriate action when issues arise• Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement and action plan for chase• Oversee, maintain and report cost, delivery and quality metrics and KPIs for finished goods• Ability to use cost data to develop tactical responses and strategies• Manage any required fabric reservation; Confirm fabric and trim with factories• Coordinate and lead weekly production meetings with factories and agents• Monitor production status of all programs by season• Track shipments from vendor to distribution center• Support costing process by creating and distributing packages, issuing spreadsheets for tracking and conducting cost negotiation• Analyze test, quality, delivery and cost reports, making recommendations and communicate exceptions to management and vendors• Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance. Approve lab dips, dye lots, washing effect, hand feel and shade bands and general flow of process• Elevate and communicate high risk potential order problems and issues as appropriate• Develop relationships with mentors, peers, and all Productions channels Qualifications * 3-5 years of experience in apparel production management• Experience with the off-price channel (Costco, Sam's, Marshals TJX)• Varied Production background working with Sweater's preferred• Experience managing "Speed to market"/fast track orders from inception is a plus• Strong costing and negotiation skills• Knowledge/understanding of fabrics and different garment wash processes that help problem solve production issues will be plus• Overseas travel to manufacturing facilities experience is plus• Microsoft Office programs and familiar with Full circle• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrates proactive problem solving skills• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn • Detail oriented with strong follow through - able to organize and prioritize multiple projects• Has a sense of urgency in managing time and while accomplishing tasks• Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals• Good people management/delegation skills and able to influence others Lucky Brand Jeans New York NY
