Job Description
The Production Supervisor is dedicated to maintaining and improving the capability of the Lake Wales manufacturing facility to safely deliver the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost through the use of effective manufacturing methods. The Production Supervisor will direct staff, train and develop employees to meet the operating goals of safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Accountable for scrap, efficiency, quality, and monitors performance and progress on the production floor and warehouse
Execution of time management skills to coordinate multiple priorities and direct production staff for production, materials, machine problems, scheduled change over, staffing needs, etc.
Ensure maintenance and technical issues are being addressed to optimize performance by exercising judgement to identify root cause and place necessary corrective actions
Supervise the Maintenance program to organize repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
Supervise the Quality program to guarantee that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported to be appropriately destroyed or placed on hold for review and decision
Drive Continuous Improvement efforts to engage all employees to make quality products and promote all Kaizen and initiatives to sustain improvements
Assess project and resource requirements to accurately plan and execute daily production and projects
Uphold required KPI metrics as required and partner with team to identify inefficiencies to restore metrics to good standing.
Projects and responsibilities as assigned by Plant Management and Corporate to facilitate lean, effective production while upholding safety, quality, and company culture

Qualifications
Education: Four-Degree (preferably in technical or business discipline) or equivalent experience.
Experience: Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement experience and background with mechanical aptitude. Preferred 3-5 years to direct supervision experience.
Specific skills: Ability to effectively manage, motivate, and lead team with clear communication and company vision.
Equipment and skills: Preferred experience in the Blow Molding industry or other plastics sectors. Mechanical aptitude to successfully troubleshoot machine issues and teach production employees and use problem solving and decision-making skills to run an effective production operation. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Computer experience and software: Microsoft Suite, Oracle, SAP.
