Production Manager

Production Manager The Opportunity Precious Plate is hiring a Production Manager to join our team and oversee a 24-7 manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for the technical management, supervision, and oversight of production efficiency and reliability, while also meeting quality and safety standards.

This is a full-time position, working from 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri reporting to the President. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Oversees all aspects of a 24-7 production environment from the time product arrives, until shipped to the customer.  Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact the production schedule.  Coordinate production activities and direction for all shifts.  Spends a large part of their time on the production floor over-seeing operations and associate performance.  Supports company goals and strategies.  Delegates special projects or assignments to appropriate personnel to insure on time results.  Performs other duties as assigned by the President or to assist other managers to achieve company goals.  Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.  Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel with input from shop supervision.  Ensure output meets quality standards.  Follows and enforces all health and safety rules.  Follows and enforces all other company policies and procedures.  Other necessary duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Minimum of 5 years related experience in a production or product-management role  Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in manufacturing or operations  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations  Experience in reporting on key production metrics  Excellent organizational and leaderships skills with proven ability to motivate employees  Attention to detail  Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach Working Conditions The job is performed indoors in a variety of settings including office, manufacturing floor, and warehouse.
