Job Description:

Milgard is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Denver and Texas. . The Portland Oregon, plant has an immediate opening for a Production Manager, someone with outstanding leadership skills and knowledge of the best process, to manage the daily production operations for the plant.

At Milgard, our Production Managers have responsibility for overall production operations, leading, coaching, and mentoring Supervisors, Leads, and Operators. In this role, we will ask you to focus on these key functions:

  • Appropriate staffing and scheduling to ensure the safety of our workers and maximum productivity output

  • Planning departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing

  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly results to identify specific areas for improvement. Motivate and initiate production improvements through participating and leading our continuous improvement culture

  • Motivational pillar for the production floor through effective communication, coaching and teaching of others to achieve key results

  • Conduct one-on-one reviews and develop succession candidates

Our ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience with previous multi-line responsibility, and oversight of a large team = at least 150 employees. To support Milgard's Continuous Improvement culture, we would like proven success in using lean /CI concepts to drive performance improvements.

Deposition Product Group Operations – Quality and I&W Manager Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible for developing Quality and I&W improvement plans on Key DPG Product Lines and leading related CFT Projects for driving those improvement plans. For that you will analyze quality and financial performance data, get messages out of them and turn them into reasonable objectives. You will then initiate and lead CFT projects across all DPG Product lines for archiving the defined objectives, review and present you plans and progress to those plans to the higher-level Management. You should have 5+ years of experience in program management and team coordination in one of the following areas: * Continues improvement * Quality assurance / Quality engineering * Operations You must have strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated passion for improvement. Teamwork, analytical skills, project management, and the ability to develop analysis and performance tracking methods, business processes and accountability systems are other required skills in your toolbox. The ideal candidate will have experience improving products and business processes in the Semiconductor Equipment industry. Specific functional activities include: * Project management - organizing, planning, and prioritizing to meet timeline requirements. * Deciding on appropriate strategies and objectives; developing and controlling activities, deadlines, budget, changes, risks & resources. Assess program performance and optimize ROI. * Fact based problem solving (PS&DMP, RCCA / 8D) * Opportunity identification & business case proposals * Developing/delivering effective presentations to various levels throughout the company * Statistical methods; data collection, and analysis Qualifications: Educational level: B.S. or Master degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) or a related technical field MBA and a Six Sigma Belt are a plus.
