Position Summary

Primary role of this position is responsibility for day-to-day production requirements and supervision of production employees by performing the following duties.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees.

  • Establish and perform task specific training for temporary employees.

  • Read and analyze work orders, MPR's, PTR's, and schedules to determine production and training requirements.

  • Direct and coordinate production activities utilizing knowledge of production methods, procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment.

  • Observe work in process and production process to ensure all production employees conform to production, QA, and processing standards.

  • Receive, inspect, and record, all in-coming materials and report any defects to the General Manager.

  • Maintain and document all in-bound, in process and finishing goods inventories.

  • Prepare all shipments in accordance to client requirements.

  • Maintain current inventories of materials on hold and materials designated for destruction via Policy 11 requirements.

  • Directly responsible for housekeeping in the production area and maintaining all housekeeping records in accordance to current Company SOP's.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

Four-year college degree; or five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

The Production Manager modifies and adjusts the series and/or episodes, calendars, and implements strategies to stay on schedule and budget while encouraging the crew. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Manage show schedules and coordinate the day-to-day workflow for all assigned projects</li> <li> Work in conjunction with the EIC/Line Producer on budget and production planning </li> <li> Effectively communicate production timelines and expectations across all departments </li> <li> Develop effective relationships with all departments and crews to ensure daily communication, troubleshoot issues, and potential delays </li> <li> Attend all series related meetings to ensure that the schedule is moving forward and/or specific issues are addressed and/or escalated </li> <li> Responsible for the proper introduction and onboarding of all series personnel </li> <li> Review and approve timecards ensuring accuracy </li> <li> Run production meetings to ensure clear communication, dissemination of information, acknowledge accomplishments and discuss challenges </li> <li> Track all show/series budgets </li> <li> Responsible for booking travel for all production staff, talent, and crew </li> <li> Must be able to multitask and take on several projects in different phases of production </li> <li> Able to adhere to tight production deadlines </li> <li> Advise the EIC/Line Producer of any potential problems or issues, particularly those impacting schedule, budget, and come prepared with proposed solutions </li> <li> Provide mentorship and opportunities for growth for the production staff, including delegating targeted tasks and empowering the production staff to take on additional responsibilities </li> <li> Develop thoughtful and meaningful initiatives and events to elevate crew morale and to grow the series’ team dynamic </li> <li> Put processes and practices in place to ensure crew is properly supported </li> <li> Maintain transparency with production staff and crew to understand the detailed status of the production and episodes </li> <li> Escalate any/all challenges and issues to EIC/Line Producer </li> <li> Manage the individual department, episodic, schedules to ensure that they tie into the approved programming slate </li> <li> Enable and contribute to a culture that creates an inclusive working environment </li> <li> Manage, mentor, delegate and grow the Production Staff on the series </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>3-5 years Production Management experience </li> <li>Bachelors degree required </li> <li>Experience with Movie Magic Budgeting(desired)</li> <li>Microsoft Excel (essential)</li> <li>Comfortable negotiating rates and maintaining schedules </li> <li>Excellent organization, planning, writing, and communication skills </li> <li>Ability to communicate across teams and work collaboratively </li> <li>Excellent problem solving skills on the fly</li> <li>Ability to work independently and willingness to take on new challenges</li> <li>Manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Complex Networks</strong> offers an awesome casual work environment with a great team of smart, motivated, innovative and fun people.
