Production Manager - Industrial

Location: Richmond, VA / Schedule: Monday through Friday, Days / $75,000.00 base plus Bonus up to $82,500 and Excellent Benefits

We are currently seeking a Production Manager for one of our Richmond Virginia Plants. This is our Retail Medical plant and only runs one production shift daily, 6:00AM to 2:30PM.

The Production Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining smooth operation of the production floor and staff to maintain standard production goals and performance records. The Production Manager will ensure safety and quality standard are met and maintained at all times. The production Manager will oversee the Production Supervisors who are responsible for the start-up of the production floor, making sure all employees are at their assigned work areas and that there is sufficient work at each area. The Production Manager will assist with providing on the job training and ensure quality standards are met at all times. This position involves planning, directing and coordination of the production department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead all production operations and processes.

• Management of direct and indirect subordinates to ensure strong team member performance.

• Provides for team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with policies, and minimizing physical hazards to ensure an overall safe work environment.

• Complies with federal, state, local and company laws, policies, regulations, and specifications, ensuring the same of staff and subordinates.

• Monitor all scheduled tasks to ensure that they are efficiently completed.

• Enforce general company policies.

• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed .and work meets all quality requirements.

• Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.

• Become familiar with all products and aspects of plant operations.

• Maintain standard production goals, quality standards and performance records.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of three years of recent experience working in a supervisor or management role in a manufacturing/industrial setting.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems.

• Ability to work with others collaboratively.

• Possess outstanding communication skills; ability to communicate with non-English speaking employees desired.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Is physically able to perform the duties of the job (move heavy equipment/machinery, climb ladders, perform repetitive motions, walk/stand, etc.)

• Willing to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, and holidays.
